“Home” is an installation that includes oil paintings, digital prints, and photographs.
Through varying mediums, the artist examines the relationship between surface, representation, and identity. Traditional forms of representation such as referential oil painting are juxtaposed with the modern technology of photography and post-production. In creating and manipulating the images through these potentially tedious processes, the indexicality of the image to the object it represents is obscured.
